Pet shops and shelters are struggling to keep up with the demand for their animals.
In recent months, pet owners have been searching for homes to adopt or find homes for their pets.
This means people have been getting in contact with animal rescue organizations and rescue groups, and searching for the right type of home for their furry friends.
“The main thing for us is the people who are in need of our animals are not necessarily our closest people,” said Beth, a retired nurse from Winnipeg.
“There are a lot of other people who have been in the situation that we’ve helped, so there are a few people who we have actually helped that are not currently living here.”
In addition to the shelters, there are other organizations that provide services for animals and people in need.
One organization that is well-known in the industry is the Canadian Association of Pet Owners.
It is a non-profit organization that has rescued hundreds of animals from shelters across Canada.
“The most important thing is to get in touch with them as quickly as possible,” said Debbie, who did not want to give her last name.
“That’s the most important piece.
We want to get as many people in touch as possible, and we want to make sure that our people are able to get the care that they need.”
The charity offers foster care and adoptions.
The organization also offers support and education to the community about animal welfare.
Debbie said she has had a great experience with the Canadian Animal Rescue Association.
“It was great to know that they’re willing to put themselves out there to do that for us,” she said.
This past year, Pet Rescue Canada received more than $2 million in donations, and Debbie is now one of the top three donors in the organization.
“We have a lot more work to do, but I think we have the resources to do it,” she added.
If you are looking for a pet or kitten to adopt, Pet Reunion is a popular shelter for pet owners in Winnipeg.
Pets that are ready to be placed for adoption are brought to the shelter by a vet who has to find homes in Winnipeg and elsewhere.
This includes animals who are being adopted by families, as well as animals that have been rescued by a pet rescue group.
If you or someone you know needs a new home, the shelter has the resources for you to help you find the right place for your pet.
